Pea Protein vs whey? The main differences are the source of the proteins for pea vs whey. Whey comes from milk and whey protein powder also comes from milk sugar lactose. Pea protein is plant based and made from peas and it is lactose free, and it’s isolated from legumes.

But Pea protein contains more fiber and iron than Whey protein.
