There was an analysis of 5 studies that showed that people who drank 3 cups or more of black or green coffee had a 21% lower risk of heart disease. Other studies found that people who drank 1 to 3 cups of green tea per day had a 19% lower risk of heart attack and a 36% reduced risk of strokes.

There was analysis of 17 studies in over 1,000 people showed that green tea consumption reduced fasting blood sugar and insulin levels. Another review of 12 studies of over 760,000 people found that drinking 3 cups of more of tea was linked to a 16% lower risk of type 2 diabetes.
There was a study that reviewed 10 Japanese cups of green tea daily and it was supplemented with green tea extract. The result of this is it reduced the reoccurrence of colon cancer cells in people with colon cancer.
Drinking green tea has also been associated with a lower risk of prostate and breast cancer.
