It is important to understand that free radicals are produced naturally in the body and lifestyle factors can accelerate this. And some of those negative lifestyle factors that can do this are:
• Smoking
• Alcohol
• Exposure to toxic chemicals
• Fried foods
One of the best natural ways to prevent the occurrence of free radicals is consuming fruits and vegetables such as apples, oranges, bananas, carrots, broccoli, spinach. And these fruits and vegetables have a high antioxidant effect which can reduce the risk of a lot of chronic health diseases.

Some of the common chronic health diseases that are associated with oxidative stress and a high number of free radicals are:
• Diabetes
• Cardiovascular diseases such as clogged arteries
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Decline in eye vision which could cause cataracts.
• Alzheimer’s
• Dementia
• Parkinsons disease
• Cancer
Oxidative stress can cause inflammation which can affect your immune system. Free radicals can damage healthy cells which can lead to inflammation. A high amount of oxidative stress can lead to brain degeneration which comes with brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinsons diseases.

The brain is extremely vulnerable to a high amount of oxidative stress because it needs a high amount of oxygen to function properly. Oxygen to the brain is like fuel to the car.

It is important to know if you have too many or too few radicals in the body, it can lead to health issues. The lifestyle and health factors that can lead to a reduction of stress in the body are:
• Eating a healthy balanced diet
• Exercising regularly
• Quitting smoking
• Avoiding exposure to outside pollution
• Maintaining a healthy body weight
The Bottom line is oxidative stress occurs when there is a high number of free radicals in the body. One of the best ways to reduce free radicals in the body is eating a healthy balanced diet, exercising regularly, quit smoking and avoiding exposure to outside pollution.
