Why am I so tired all the time? One of the reasons you might be so tired is because of all the nutrient deficiencies you are dealing with because of a lack of calories you are consuming. Or it could be stress or possible drug medication side effects.

Outside of that the main reason you may be tired all the time is you are probably not getting enough sleep. Most people feel energized and refreshed getting at least 7 hours of sleep.

Some of the nutrient deficiencies that are associated with being fatigue are:

  • Niacin
  • Vitamin B-12
  • Magnesium
  • Folate
  • Vitamin D
  • Vitamin C
  • Pantothenic Acid- Vitamin B-5
  • Pyridoxine- Vitamin B6

Other health conditions that can lead to fatigue issues:

  • sleep apnea
  • anxiety disorders
  • kidney disease
  • hypothyroidism
  • multiple sclerosis
  • fibromyalgia

If you don’t consume enough calories or enough carbs it will affect your energy levels. If you don’t obtain enough calories or protein, it will affect your ability to maintain muscle mass which can heighten your fatigue levels.

Consuming caffeine can help to spike up your energy levels but if you consume too much it can affect your ability to fall asleep. If you are struggling with sleep issues and you are one of those people who frequently drink caffeinated drinks, then cut back on it.

Another way to maintain your energy levels and minimize fatigue is to stay hydrated by drinking enough water. Being dehydrated can lead to lower energy levels.

A good hydration goal is to consume eight 8-ounce glasses of water daily. When you can maintain good hydration status it will help relieve headaches, dizziness, thirst, and fatigue.

Some other potential causes of fatigue are drug and alcohol dependence and drugs such as blood pressure medication, antidepressants, etc.

The Bottom Line are some of the reasons why you are tired all the time are not drinking enough water daily, not getting enough sleep, nutrient deficiencies, etc.
