Health Benefits

Some of the previous studies and health benefits on Vitamin 17 is it that may help lower blood pressure levels. A study revealed that people between the ages of 40 and 65 found that amygdalin helped lower systolic blood pressure by 28.5% and diastolic blood pressure by 25%.

Another study revealed that amygdaline provided pain relief in rats. But there haven’t been studies yet to show that it provides pain relief in human beings.

There was a 2020 study that showed that Vitamin B17 can potentially increase immunity in your body. There still needs to be more control research studies on all the health benefits it has shown.

Some of the foods that Vitamin B17 can be found in are beans, nuts, raw almonds, carrots, apricots, celery, flax seeds, peaches, bean sprouts, etc.

A lot of people can be confused with Vitamin B17 thinking it is a Vitamin, but it is a drug that comes from plant substances.

Side Effects

When a person ingests Vitamin B17 the body converts it to Cyanide in the small intestine. A minimal lethal dose of Cyanide is about 50mg or 0.5 mg per kg of bodyweight.

500 milligrams of amygdaline are around 30mg of Cyanide. So, you want to be mindful you don’t overdose on Vitamin B17. Some of the side effect symptoms if you take too much is:

  • Nausea
  • Weakness
  • Headache
  • Eye and skin irritation

In the 1970’s laetrile was used an alternative drug to treat cancer. We now know from recent human and animal studies that it doesn’t effectively treat cancer well at all. It is now currently banned by the FDA in many states for medical purposes.

The Bottom Line is some of the health benefit studies show that Vitamin B17 can reduce blood pressure levels. It also has been shown to improve pain relief in fats. Although more studies need to show it works in human beings.
