Is cucumber a fruit or vegetable? A cucumber is considered a fruit because it grows from the flowers of a plant and holds the seeds. What most people don’t know is that cucumbers are contained mostly with water. One half cup of cucumber is 11% of the daily  recommended Value for Vitamin K.
