Another important thing is to make sure you don’t wear contact lenses if you have a pink eye as that will aggravate it and make it worse.

Pink eye can be diagnosed by:

  • a vision test
  • an external eye tissue examination.
  • or a conjunctival tissue smear.
  • Or lastly an examination of the inner eye.

The Bottom Line is pink eye is a very common infection that can spread pretty quickly.  But it can be treated with antibiotics and the recovery time is about 7 to 10 days.
