Does Ginger Ale help with nausea? The ingredient fresh ginger root has been linked to relieving nausea and upset stomach. Ginger ale consists of carbonated water, sugar, ginger flavoring, and it is considered a soda. The ginger root has some medicinal effects but ginger ale in general has extraordinarily little nausea relieving effects.

Some of the negative effects of drinking ginger ale is the carbonation in the drink which can cause gas in your intestines. And this can lead to severe bloating and discomfort and vomiting or diarrhea. The carbonation in the ginger ale can actually heighten your current nausea effect. And the sugar and artificial sweeteners in the ginger ale is one of the main reasons to cause you an upset stomach or diarrhea.

One of the alternative ways to relieve nausea is drinking herbal tea such as lemon ginger tea or even peppermint tea. There are studies that have shown that herbal tea can relieve nausea. Other alternative ways to relieve nausea is hydration or even acupuncture. There are some research studies that shows that acupuncture bracelets can help with nausea and vomiting.

Sometimes drinking several cups of water can help relieve your nausea. Try not to drink anything that can dehydrate you or make your nausea worse. Drinking coconut water or even drinking some form of broth can help replace the electrolytes you lost.
