A good range of sets to perform a deadlift exercise is 3 to 4 sets. It is good to rest about 30 seconds to 1 minute per each set and no more than performing deadlifts twice a week. And the reason legs take the longest time to recover. And it takes about 3 to 4 days to recover from your last legs workout especially if you are putting in a lot of intensity in the exercise.

How To Perform a Deadlift?

To perform a deadlift, you want to stand behind the barbell or dumbbells with your feet shoulder width apart. Keep your chest upright and sink in your hips while keeping your back straight. Bend forward while gripping the bar and while having both hands face down in an overhand grip. Keep your back flat and push your hips forward in a standing position.

Finish the exercise by standing with your legs straight and your knees almost locked out. Return to the starting position while keeping your back straight, pushing your hips back, bending your knees and squatting down until the bar is about to hit the ground.

Deadlifts is not the easiest exercise to perform and that is why executing correct form is critical to having success with performing this exercise. Using the mirror to monitor your form or having a trainer watch your form can be helpful to make sure you are performing the exercise correctly.
