What are the nutrition facts of diet coke? People drink diet coke because they believe that it has less calories and less sugar than other sugar laden sodas. So, the idea in many minds in our society is drinking diet coke is the best beverage to drink if you are trying to be mindful of your health and weight. Some of the ingredient facts of diet coke are the following:

  • Caffeine
  • Natural flavors
  • Caramel color
  • Phosphoric acid
  • Aspartame
  • Potassium benzoate
  • Citric acid

A 12-ounce diet coke contains the following:

  • Calories- 0
  • Total Fat- 0 grams
  • Sodium- 40 grams
  • Total carbohydrates- 0 grams
  • Total sugars- 0 grams
  • Protein- 0 grams
  • Caffeine- 46 grams

Diet coke doesn’t contain added sugar, but it contains artificial sweeteners. The main difference between diet coke vs coke zero is that diet coke uses artificial sweeteners whereas coke zero uses aspartame and acesulfame potassium. Coke zero also has less caffeine than diet coke but both beverages are under the recommended daily limit of 400 mg of caffeine which is safe health wise.

There isn’t any scientific evidential evidence that shows that diet coke is better than zero coke. There aren’t any nutritional differences between the two and the ingredient and caffeine content is similar.

One of the most important things for everybody in our society is that diet coke is not considered a healthy drink by health standards. But you can consume it within moderation and be healthy.
