How long is spaghetti good in the fridge? The average time that is spaghetti is good is about 3 to 5 days in the refrigerator. Spaghetti life is predicated on its main ingredients such as lentils, wheat, or eggs.  Here are some of the most popular types of pasta and its expiration life is:

Homemade wheat pasta- 4 to 5 days

Freshly stored bought wheat pasta- 1-3 days

Gluten-Free Pasta- 3-5 days

Cooked Wheat Pasta- 3 to 5 days

Lasagna or cooked pasta with sauce- 5 days

Tortellini or cooked pasta- 3 to 5 days

One of the signs of pasta going bad if it has a visible mold or if it is gooey or has a distinctive smell. If the spaghetti has a discoloration such as grayish or whitish blue, then that is also a sign that it has gone bad.

If you eat old pasta or spaghetti, you can get sick because of the bad germs and potential contamination from spoiled or expired food. You can experience food poisoning from mild to severe depending on how expired the spaghetti or pasta is.  One of the most frequent side effects to old pasta or spaghetti is diarrhea, vomiting and stomachache pain, cramps, vomiting.

A common foodborne pathogen that can spread on old pasta or spaghetti is B. cereus. In extreme situations this bad bacteria has been known to cause death. If you eat old spaghetti or pasta and it’s made with ingredients such as eggs, meat, or dairy products it can be exposed to common germs such as salmonella, campylobacter, clostridium, and listeria.

One of the best ways to preserve leftover pasta or spaghetti after you have cooked is to store your spaghetti in shallow airtight containers or resealable bags. Make sure to store it in the fridge in a temperature of 40 degrees Fahrenheit or lower to preserve the food as long as possible.

Leftover spaghetti or pasta can be enjoyed by heating the food in an oven, stovetop, or microwave. And if you do this it should be safe to eat.

The Bottom Line is spaghetti or pasta has an average shelf life of 3 to 5 days before it reaches its expiration date. If you attempt to eat this pasta past 5 or 6 days, it can cause you potential food poisoning.

And some of those symptoms are diarrhea, upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, etc.. Be mindful of how many days your spaghetti has been refrigerated.
