Should I go with a fitness app or a gym trainer? Fitness apps and a personal trainer both serve an important purpose in the fitness industry. And at the end of the day if you want to get in shape, it really comes down to what you are most comfortable with.

Some people can get coaching from an app device, and they don’t need a physical human next to them motivating them. And there are fitness enthusiasts who need a live trainer training them and they need that physical face to face accountability next to them.

The advantage of obtaining a workout from a fitness app is how cheap it is vs training with trainer. A one-on-one trainer’s fee can be anywhere from $75 an hour up to $150 hour depending on the city and state you live. The every-day average person can’t afford $100 or $150 dollars an hour to hire a trainer so a fitness workout app would typically be more economical for them.

Should I Go With A Fitness App Or A Gym Trainer?

Some fitness workout apps that are advertised in the fitness community the exercises are the same and there is no variety. And then there are some fitness workout apps where there is a variety of different exercises and a variety of different workout levels.

Quality sensible fitness programming is important when investing in a fitness app and that programming must show variety; it must show different workout levels from beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. And it must show modifications of every fitness workout for someone that can’t do a push-up or a plank or even a basic sit-up.

There are some people who can’t get motivated following a workout through a phone. And their brain is wired in a better way through human motivational contact. As I said earlier a fitness App and a personal trainer both serve a huge purpose in the fitness industry, and I don’t think one is better over the other. It is just a matter what you prefer workout wise and if your brain is wired better to learn through technology or a physical human being.

We all are different in how we can stay motivated on our fitness goals and how we are able to learn and process what is being coached or taught to us. We all learn differently some of us need a real time physical trainer standing next to us while motivating us. And some of us can get motivated through an apple watch or a health and fitness training apps device.

What they both have in common is they are providing regular exercise and strength training guidance. And both helps to heighten our health benefits. So, they both have a place when it comes to your health it is just a matter of what your preference is and how best you stay motivated.
