How is exercise good for depression?
How much exercise should I be doing every day?
Are exercise and sleep related?
The benefits of exercise…. How many times does someone need to tell you how good exercise is for you? There’s not one thing you can say about exercise that is negative other than you not doing it. Exercise is like how we need water to live. And without exercise in life we will not live very long.
Does exercise help you sleep better?
One of the benefits of exercise is good sleep and you sleep better if you exercise regularly. But make sure you don’t exercise right before you go to bed, or you will have a tough time going to sleep.
Exercise helps to boost your endurance, strength, and energy levels. The more energy you have the better your day will be for a multitude of health reasons let alone keeping your body in a metabolic state for as long as possible (more of that below). It improves your lung and heart health and your entire cardiovascular system. We all want to have a boost of energy and exercise will help you with that.
The American Heart Association recommends 150 minutes of aerobic activity to maintain a healthy heart. That comes out to walking 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Another benefit of exercise is that it will help you lose and manage your weight. Weight-loss occurs when you can create a caloric deficit and that caloric deficit can only be created through eating or exercise. When you engage in any physical activity you can burn calories which is needed to create that caloric deficit.

Benefits Of Exercise – Mood Food
Exercise improves your mood by stimulating brain chemicals that may leave you feeling less anxious and much happier. It can also give you confidence because you are feeling and looking better. That confidence can permeate to other aspects of your life like your relationship or how you deal with your co-workers or boss.
Make sure that if you start a new exercise program that it is something that you can do physically. Because if you cannot do it physically or if it is too difficult for you then you can make yourself prone to injury. Be safe when starting a new program.
