What are the health benefits of Chai Tea? There is some research evidence that has shown that drinking chai tea regularly has positive health benefits for the heart. There have also been animal studies that have shown that the cinnamon in Chai Tea may lower blood pressure.

Reducing Blood Cholesterol Levels

In some research studies it has shown in individuals that cinnamon can reduce the levels of total cholesterol by up to 30%.

And surprisingly research studies have shown that drinking 3 cups or more of black tea can lower heart disease by 11%. Research studies have shown that the cinnamon that is in chai tea can reduce insulin resistance and fasting blood sugar levels by up to 10 to 29%.

Another recent study showed that consuming 2 grams of ginger per day with people that had Type 2 diabetes can lower their blood sugars by up to 12%.

Chai Tai contains ginger, and it is known to have powerful anti-nausea benefits. There was a research review on studies on over 1,000 pregnant women that showed that a daily dose of 1 to 1.5 grams of ginger reduced nausea significantly.

One cup of chai tea contains about 25 mg of caffeine. The caffeine in one cup of chai tea is minimal and safe for pregnant women to consume it. People should avoid consuming more than 400 mg of caffeine per day and during pregnancy no more than 200 mg.
